Contemporary British Literature, English Language Teaching, Indian Writing in English, Diasporic Writing, Literary Criticism & Theory, Drama and Dramatic Technique, Canadian Literature.

Brief Research Profile

Dr Preeti Bhatt worked on the narrative technique in the fiction of Muriel Spark for her PhD. She has published the monograph Experiments in Narrative Technique in the Novels of Muriel Spark by Edwin Mellen Press, UK 2011. She has co-edited two books and has published several research papers in national and international journals. She has also presented papers in international conferences at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, La Trobe University, Australia, Oxford University, U.K., Feng Chia University, Taichung, Taiwan, at Dubai for which she was awarded Travel Grants by the University Grants Commission, and by the concerned universities. She has been invited to conduct a session on Class in British Fiction in an international conference in Germany in 2021. Dr Bhatt has successfully supervised several PhD scholars and has worked on research projects funded by the University Grants Commission, New Delhi, and by the British Council. Dr Bhatt is currently working on a collaborative year-long research project, “Developing English Skills for Employability: Empowering Engineering Students of Rajasthan in a Globalized World” under the Technical Education Quality Improvement Programme III Collaborative Research Scheme funded by The Ministry of Education, Government of India. Recently a proposal submitted by Dr Bhatt for a one-week Global Initiative of Academic Networks (GIAN) course on “South Asian Literature and Films: 1990 – Present” has been approved by the GIAN office.
