Inviting Nominations for Alumni Awards MNIT Jaipur [Submission Closes on November 30, 2021 5:00 PM] [Submission time extended till midnight]


Dear Alums,

 

Greetings of the day! I hope all of you are enjoying good health and progress in your chosen field of work.

I am happy to share that to recognize the contribution of alums to society and MNIT, the institute proposes to confer  awards on its illustrious alums. The details of the same are mentioned below. I encourage you to nominate alums whom you consider suitable for awards.

 

The nominations can be made in two modes: Nominate for others as Proposer, or  Self- nomination.  

We request your cooperation for the wider dissemination and nomination of the deserving candidates.

Details of the awards

 

 

The following awards are instituted for recognizing the contribution of the MNIT alums in various fields of work.

 

 

 1. MNIT Lifetime Achievement Award

 

2. Prof. V Srinivasan Memorial award

 

3. Distinguished Alumnus award

 

4. Young Achievers’ award

 

5. Outstanding Service Award

 

 

The standard criteria for these are as follows:

1.        General Eligibility

All alumni/alumna, awarded a degree from REC/MNIT Jaipur, will be eligible for the award. Those alumni/alumna who are members of staff and faculty of MNIT Jaipur would not qualify for it.

2.        Nomination

Nomination for the award may be made by the alumni or faculty members of MNIT Jaipur. Nominations may also be forwarded by members, Board of Governors/Senate and Registrar, MNIT Jaipur.

The Secretary MNITJAA will be requested to forward nominations and disseminate the information for wider publicity.

The award scheme will be announced in such a way to have maximum publicity. For the current year (2021), the last date of receiving nominations is 30th November 2021. The nominations received after the due date shall be considered in the next year.

3.        Processing

            A duly constituted committee will process the nominations for the award.

 

4.        Award

The award will be in the form of a Silver Plaque of the Institute, a Citation, and a Certificate. It will be awarded at the Annual Convocation of the Institute.

 

The awardees will be treated as Institute Guest when they visit the Institute to receive the coveted award.

 

 

 

 

GUIDELINES FOR  MNIT LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD

 

Eligibility and selection criteria

The alumnus/alumna of 60 years of age and above will be eligible for the award as on 25th December of the year. The criteria would be extraordinary accomplishments in their chosen field of work.

 

GUIDELINES FOR PROF. V.  SRINIVASAN MEMORIAL AWARD

Eligibility and selection criteria

The overall contribution to society, industry, particularly leadership in institution building, Government or Public Sector, Research excellence, Academic excellence, excellence in Engineering, or Technological innovation, would serve as selection criteria for the award.

 

 

GUIDELINES FOR DISTINGUISHED ALUMNUS AWARD

 

        Eligibility and Selection criteria

The contributions should be self-evident to the peers in the following categories:

a)   Academic or Research Excellence

b)   Excellence in Engineering or Technology Innovation

c)   Excellence in Leadership in the Government or Public Sector

d)   Excellence in Leadership in the Private Sector

e)   Entrepreneurial Excellence

f)    Excellence in Service to the Society

 

GUIDELINES FOR YOUNG ACHIEVERS’ AWARD

 

       Eligibility and selection criteria

The alumnus/alumna should be for the current year 2000 AD and beyond pass out batches for the awards of 2021. Subsequently, the base year shall keep on incrementing by one each year. The criteria would be an extraordinary achievement in their chosen field of work.

 

The following aspects will be considered for assessing the contributions of the nominees in their chosen field of work:

·         Accomplishments and recognitions that exhibit pursuit of excellence, path- breaking work, innovation, or creativity in the chosen field of work.

·        Track record of leadership roles and responsibilities which demonstrate potential for continued success.

 

 

GUIDELINES FOR OUTSTANDING SERVICE AWARD

Eligibility and Selection criteria

Self-nomination is not allowed in this category. The following aspects will be considered for assessing the contributions of the nominees.

·     Augmenting Resources for MNIT Jaipur by direct monetary contribution or by raising funds for the Institute.

·      Promoting Excellence in Academics and Research by strengthening the academic, research ,and development efforts of the MNIT Jaipur community.

·     Inculcating Entrepreneurial Spirit by supporting incubation activities in the Institute.
