Scholarships/Awards to UG students
Undergraduate students can apply for the scholarship as per the information given in following table. Students are advised to read relevant information at web links and verify their eligibility before applying. Please follow the procedure as outlined.

3 National Scholarship for Persons with Disabilities (Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment GOI) Trust fund Total family income is up to  3.00 lakhs per annum 1. Indian students with at least 40% disabilities certified as per definition under Persons with Disabilities Act 1995. 2. At least 50% marks in 10+2. PH Nonrefundable fee+ Maintenance allowance (Rs. 2500/- pm for 10 months only in a year) + Books stationart allowance (Rs. 6000/- pa) + Orthopedically Handicapped laptop Rs. 40000, Visually Handicapped Rs. 10000-60000, Hearing Handicapped Rs. 50000-70000. 5 Merit-cum-Means Scholarship for Students Belonging to Minority Communities. (Ministry of Minority Affairs, New Delhi) Upto 2.50 lacs pa Student must have got admission in the recognized professional degree course or secured not less than 50% marks at senior secondary (10+2)  Selection of these students will be done strictly on merit basis. Minority (Muslim, Sikh, Parsi ,Buddhist Jain, Christian) Course fee :- Rs.20,000/- per annum or Actual whichever is less; rent for hosteller-Rs 10,000/-  p.a.and  Day-hosteller-Rs 5,000/- per annum. 1. 6 Ministry of Steel Authority Scholarhip to student of Metallurgical & Metrial Engg. Deptt. Not Applicable Criterion for selection:   All India Rank in AIEEE All Rs. 120000 per annum The selection of student will be based on merit and interview by Chair Professor of Metallurgical & Metirial Engg. 7 Central Sector scholarship for College and University Students (MHRD, Govt. of India) Upto 4.5 lacs pa 1. 80 percentile or above in XII or 10+2.                   2. 8 NIT's Merit Award to AIEEE-2010 ranker's Not Applicable Secure All-in-Rank over all upto 2000 and Admission taken in NIT's All Rs. 35000 per annum 1 Center Counselling Board (AIEEE-2010) MHRD Govt. of India will send the grant and list of awardee. The award will be given for the entire duration of engineering course subject to good academic and non-academic record of the candidate during the course by the respective institute. -

10 Scheme for Award of Engineers India Limited (EIL) Scholarship for SC and ST Undergradute Engineering Students Total family income upto 300000 per annum Selection shall be made on the basis of performance in Class XII/Diploma in Engineering candidate should have 55% or equivalent CGPA/CPI in aggregate in Class XII/Diploma in Engineering. 20 FAEA CII scholarship Under category BPL 1. Students who have passed Class XII from a recognized board in India 2. 1st year under-graduate students. 35 “Financial support to the students of North Eastern Region for higher professional courses” by North Eastern Council  Plan, Shillong (MEGHALAYA) Not Applicable 1. The stipends and book grants are open only to a candidate who is a permanent resident of any of the States in the North East. 2.Financial assistance of stipend/book grant allowed only for NIT's students.
